Why?
I started this site because I have an insatiable appetite for science, technology and gadgets.
So often it is difficult get understandable information about the science behind new gadgets. OK, you don’t need to understand how it all works, but it is often a fascinating story. And often a technology becomes dominant because it is marketed better, rather than better performance. I hope that I have succeeded in stimulating interest in the science - the foundation of our modern society.

Here I am - Don Kent, with my wife Jill - around half a century old (I always find that astonishing!). I recently worked for Lucent
Technologies, but I am not a techie to the core, as I am also a yoga teacher! - I can’t get enough of it. Yes, I know - opposite extremes - are they compatible? Well I manage the two with no
real problems, but that’s another story to be told elsewhere. I live in a lovely village called Chiseldon on the edge of the Marlborough Downs in the
northern part of Wiltshire, England. If anyone is interested, I might put some more in here about me. For now though, surf my pages, learn a little and, of course, buy lots
of interesting gadgets and stuff! Enjoy.
